The Indian pictured at left and on the home page of our web site is a statue that was given to the City of Montpelier by the Miami Indian Chief, Larry P. Godfroy, in 1985. The statue stood at the entrance of the Indian Museum at Eagle Creek reservoir in Indianapolis before being relocated in Montpelier. The Indian Museum at Eagle Creek was moved into the Etelberg Museum, downtown Indianapolis.
